Security Logs

The IP addresses of visitors, the user IDs of logged-in users, and the usernames of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific types of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log-out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 60 days.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who do we share your data with?

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the email sent for the password reset.

A QR code image is generated for users who set up two-factor authentication for this site. In the process of generating this image, your username is sent to the API. This data is not logged.

This site is scanned for potential malware and vulnerabilities by the SolidWP Site Scanner. We do not send personal information to the scanner; however, the scanner could find personal information posted publicly (such as in comments) during the scan.

How long do we retain your data?

For users who register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username, which cannot be changed). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Security logs are retained for a period of 60 days.

What rights do you have over your data?

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
